Kyle Dillingham & Horseshoe Road and a delegation from Gansu, China, celebrated the 40th anniversary of the sister-state relationship between Oklahoma and Gansu, China, with song, dance, food and fellowship. Kyle was invited back to Thailand for a private show on Thanksgiving Day 2024 in Bangkok and he was a BIG hit! It was a party like no other overlooking the Chao Phraya River across from the Golden Palace.

Kyle Wraps Up 2024 Sister State Tour China Tour
"I feel at home when I am in Gansu," said America's Fiddling Ambassador, Kyle Dillingham, during his seventh visit to the northwestern Chinese province, where he and his band, Horseshoe Road, performed American country music blended with traditional Chinese elements in celebration of the spirit of the ancient Silk Road. Kyle had the great honor of performing with The Oak Ridge Boys in 2024 and little did he know that it would be the last time he would be in the presence of the country legend, Joe Bonsall.

Kyle WOWED Jack Nicklaus!
Kyle had the great honor of performing for the most winningest golfer of all times, Jack Nicklaus, and wife, Barbara, at a dinner for the PGA Korn Ferry Tour sponsored by Compliance Solutions. Jack loved Kyle's performance so much he invited him to play during the 2025 Memorial Golf Tournament, the biggest golf event founded and hosted by Jack Nicklaus to showcase the world's best golfers competing on one of the most challenging venues in the world.

Kyle Dillingham + OKPOP
OKPOP was stoked to have America's Fiddling Ambassador, Kyle Dillingham, roll through their museum to shred on his fiddle while carving up some pavement in front of Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa, which is celebrating it's 100th anniversary. "We think Bob (Wills) would approve."

Kyle WOWED Reba!
Kyle had the opportunity to mingle with the inductees and honorees of the 2024 Western Heritage Awards including Country music legend, Reba McEntire! She and boyfriend/actor, Rex Linn, were lighting up the dance floor to all the fun Kyle and his band were putting down. Grammy-nominated recording artist and songwriter, Michael Martin Murphey, joined the band to perform his big hit, Wildfire.

Winner of the 2024 Sunny Side Up Film Festival Awards!
Winners for the 2024 Sunny Side Up Film Festival Awards have been announced and Kyle and Ginny are WINNERS! Kyle's music score that he produced and arranged, Swing Low, Sweet Chariot, won Festival Director's Choice for the feature film, Thank You, Amelia Earhart! The song also features Kyle's wife, Ginny, on vocals so more kudos are in order for the talented couple.

Another Honor for Kyle!
Kyle's song, Lady Grey, has been selected as a semi-finalist in the Instrumental Category of the 2023 International Songwriting Competition (ISC) and he is super thrilled and honored!

Kyle joined Michael Martin Murphey on the 2023 Cowboy Christmas Tour and they performed what Michael would call his latest Cowboy Song for Christmas, Ridin' Down the Trail (To Find a King).
"Written by Orin Freisen, this is a song I recorded with Kyle and Ryan Murphey and it's available now for download and streaming," said Michael. Kyle Part of Something BIG!
Kyle was so honored to be offered a part in the epic movie, Killers of the Flower Moon. The scene takes place in the town square where everyone is gathered for an evening of music and dancing....enter in Kyle and other musicians, selected from around the country, performing on the bandstand. It's early 1920's Oklahoma and American Jazz is the sound of the era. Kyle and the band spent a week in costume, makeup, and rehearsals all for filming a three-minute scene but it was worth the memories. Kyle Selected As One of the Metro's Most Influential Leaders by 405 Business Magazine!
The Metro’s Most Influential inaugural issue profiles the most influential leaders in central Oklahoma across a wide spectrum of industries. 2023 Old Friends on the Silk Road Tour a BIG Success!
Kyle and the band thoroughly enjoyed their visit to Edmond’s sister city, Qingyang, to close out their 2023 Old Friends on the Silk Road tour in China. Kyle was at the signing of this sister city friendship agreement in 2016, and the guys performed a one year anniversary concert in 2017. They were back in 2019 and felt so blessed to return in 2023 to share their music again with some dear Old Friends. 2023 Goodwill Tour in China Kicks Off
By popular demand, Kyle and the band were invited back to China as part of the 2023 Old Friends on the Silk Road Goodwill Tour and everyone is wanting more. Their adventure kicked off in Tianjin and took them through Dunhuang, Jiayuguan, Jinchang and concluded in the historic city of Qingyang.

Kyle's First Feature Film Score!
Kyle scored his first feature film and the Oklahoma premiere of Thank You, Amelia Earhart will be at the 9th Annual FLY Film Festival in Enid. In April, the film won top awards at its world premiere at the 56th annual WorldFest Houston (the oldest independent film festival in the world). CONGRATULATIONS to the Edmond History Museum! The Oklahoma Travel Industry Association honored them with a Merit of Honor award for Outstanding Temporary Exhibit, Kyle Dillingham & Horseshoe Road: America's Musical Ambassadors, at this year's Redbud Awards! They put together a phenomenal exhibit last year highlighting Kyle Dillingham, Peter Markes, and Brent Saulsbury and their travels in 42 countries. Great job EHM Team!

Friendship Through Music
Kyle's 2023 Sister State China Tour has been a big success building relationships between our state and Gansu Province. The first leg of the tour began with rehearsals with the Lanzhou Symphony Orchestra before their big concert performance, May 26th.

Kyle fired up his fiddle as special guest on the latest episode of A Very OK Podcast honoring the life and legacy of Bob Wills. Listen to this fun feature HERE.

Kyle's First Film Premiere!
Kyle scored his first feature film and its world premiere was held at the 56th Annual WorldFest Houston, the oldest independent film festival in the world! The film was one of 35-40 films to screen. The previous year, WorldFest received nearly 5,000 entries from 77 countries.
The feature-length film, Thank You, Amelia Earhart, by award-winning filmmaker, Al Mertens, was made entirely by Oklahomans--perhaps the state's first. Read more about the film HERE.

Celebrating Bob Wills
Kyle had the great honor of sitting next to Ms. Carolyn Wills in the Oklahoma Senate Chamber while a proclamation was being read honoring her father and one of his greatest musical influences, Bob Wills. Then in the moments immediately following, Kyle stood and gave the chamber 30 seconds of Faded Love.
"What a great feeling to participate in honoring the life and legacy of Bob Wills, but also to honor his daughter and granddaughter, Andrea Ruby, also present," Kyle said with a big smile.

Kyle Selected for OK Tourism's Imagine That Campaign
Exciting News! The Image That marketing campaign from Oklahoma Tourism has launched and Kyle was selected for vocals and music for their promos! The campaign includes six 30-second video spots, one of which features Kyle's version of the song classic, Blue Skies. The ads will appear on cable television in select markets and through social media, digital and streaming outlets.
"It was an honor to be a vocalist on this remarkable project that spotlights Oklahoma’s magic, center stage," Kyle said.

405 Business Magazine Features Kyle Dillingham
The film industry is exploding in Oklahoma and Kyle is excited to be a part of this new and growing economic sector in our state. In the 2023 special Film Issue of 405 Business Magazine, he gives his perspective as a musician and entertainer. Read his take on it HERE.

Chinese New Year Fun!
The start of the Chinese New Year was January 17th and what better way to ring in the Year of the Rabbit than with some fiery Chinese fiddling! Kyle was invited to collaborate with Chinese erhu player, Mr. Yang, in Qingyang, Gansu Province, China for a special Chinese New Year celebration (virtually via big screen). Celebration in DC featuring Kyle Dillingham
Kyle was invited to be a part of the 2023 Chinese New Year Celebration at the Chinese Embassy in Washington D.C. About 800 guests celebrated at the event, the first in-person gathering at the Embassy in three years. He performed his original song, "Old Friends", which celebrates the long friendship between Gansu Province and Oklahoma, and also the long friendship between China and the United States. A Night Under the Stars Honoring Kyle Dillingham
The South Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce's Annual Banquet "A Night Under the Stars" Celebrated 2022 in 2023. The Annual Banquet served as the installation ceremony for the 2023 Board of Directors, as well as an award ceremony to recognize our Native Oklahoman, Kyle Dillingham! It was an amazing evening at the beautiful First Americans Museum!

Performance Fit For A King
Kyle had the great honor of performing at the 78th birthday celebration of Supapan Pichaironarongsongkram at the Palace of King Rama VI in Bangkok. The guest of honor was a former Prime Minister of Thailand and current Speaker of the House and the guest list was filled with government officials and dignitaries.
"I’m so grateful to my friend, Patravadi Mejudhon, for inviting me to perform at this very special event," said Kyle. Mejudhon is a Thai actress, playwright, television director/producer and teacher of dramatic arts who has featured Kyle in many of her past theatrical productions. "It was so awesome being able to represent Oklahoma on the global stage with my music."

ShapED My Life: Kyle Dillingham
One of the 2022 editions of the Oklahoma State Department of Education's video series, ShapED My Life, features Kyle Dillingham! They sat down with Oklahoma's Musical Ambassador as he reminisced about his former teachers in the Enid Public Schools who set him up for success in life and music.
"So honored to be featured…and so grateful to my many fabulous teachers throughout the years," said Kyle. "I’ve been blessed."

41 Countries of Memories
The Edmond History Museum featured America’s first full exhibit dedicated to Grand Ole Opry Guest Artists, Kyle Dillingham, Peter Markes, and Bent Saulsbury. The exhibit explored the musical expression of these performers through their lives, travels through 41 countries, and vast repertoire of music.
Highlights of artifacts on loan included Kyle’s purple performance suit designed by Manuel Cuevas (the man who put Johnny Cash in black), and the Dolly Parton skateboard Kyle rode onto the stage of the Grand Ole Opry (which made Opry history).

Fun in the Mayor's Office
OKC Mayor David Holt is doing the most for the Oklahoma music scene. Starting in 2019, he launched “City Hall Sessions,” a local concert series in which Oklahoma artists perform right in Holt’s office in front of a small audience. Kyle and the band were thrilled to be invited to be a part of this incredible program!

Kyle is a Winner....TWICE!
Kyle has won two 2022 Indie Music Channel Awards! Let This Peace for Best Contemporary Christian Song and Freedom Bells for Best Instrumental Song were announced the winners at the IMC Awards Ceremony, September 4th, at the iconic Sunset Gower Studios in Hollywood hosted by Emmy-winner, Christopher Ewing.
"I receive over 20,000 song submissions a year from all around the world, so just making it onto my show is hard enough. Reaching number one is even harder," said Ewing. "Way to go! Keep making great music! You are, truly, one of the best indie artists in the world!"
Another one of Kyle’s songs, Homa, was also nominated for Best Americana Song, which is the title track from his latest album.

Kyle had a fun time opening for Clint Black with the Jeremy Rowe Band at the Choctaw Nation Labor Day Festival in Tuskahoma, OK!

Kyle Dillingham - One to Watch!
Congratulations to Kyle for another great honor recognizing his songwriting chops. His song, Can't Make You Smile, has been recommended for consideration at the Fall 2022 Nashville Songwriters Association International's Publisher Luncheon! Kyle Named Best Singer/Songwriter
What an exciting day for Kyle Dillingham! Last night he was announced as the 2017 OK Gazette's Best of OKC recipient of the Best Local Singer / Songwriter Award! Click to watch the video that Peter captured of the announcement being made!

Kyle will be traveling to Edmond Sister City, Qingyang, for a concert next month with Horseshoe Road, and he will carry with him official correspondence from Edmond Mayor, Charles Lamb. Kyle's position as the Musical Ambassador in Residence at the University of Central Oklahoma makes him more qualified to handle this official diplomatic duty.

Very surreal experience today playing a solo mini concert for Roy Clark - in his office, standing behind his desk. It is really great to reconnect with him after more than 20 years. He changed my life then, and he's doing it again.

Kyle and Peter meet The Oak Ridge Boys
Great time tonight at the Mabee Center in Tulsa! Peter Markes and Kyle Dillingham met and performed for Duane Allen, The Oak Ridge Boys lead singer, during the Blue Bell Ice Cream social preceding the concert. Was also awesome to meet the Brumley family. Bob Brumley's father, Albert Brumley, wrote one of our favorite gospel songs, I'll Fly Away! Thank you Jim Halsey for inviting us to be a part of a special evening!

New Music Video features Chinese Guitar
Kyle Dillingham & Horseshoe Road launch their inaugural "Songwriting Room" in the Paseo Arts Space as a part of the exhibit, Tsukuru: To Build | To Make | To Create. This is an exhibit of work by Stephanie Ferguson-Brudzinski and Mark Brudzinski. This video represents a product of our joint inspirations to build, make and create something together.

Kyle Wows Peru!
As the University of Central Oklahoma's Musical Ambassador, Kyle Dillingham was honored to represent the university and our great state during his trip to Peru last week. UCO initiated an agreement with the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC), an outstanding university in Lima. Kyle uses his "musical diplomacy" to help develop and strengthen new overseas partnerships with UCO.

Horseshoe Road guitarist seeks new adventure.
“After 15 incredible years serving the Edmond Public Schools, I’ve notified them and my students that I will resign at the end of this school year,” Markes said. “I love teaching. I will always love teaching and relish the future opportunities to teach in small and large group settings. I intend to invest my professional energy into the work with Kyle Dillingham, my musical partner of 21 years, and our band, Horseshoe Road. I look forward to also still having a hand in music education."

Esteemed Oklahoma musician Kyle Dillingham will celebrate the release of his new French-language album “Il Fait Beau” in concert with his band Horseshoe Road at 7 p.m. Friday at the CHK Central Boathouse, 732 Riversport Drive. Food trucks will begin selling tasty fare at 5:30 p.m.

China loves Kyle!
Kyle had the great pleasure of being invited by China's Gansu Provincial Government to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of a Sister-State agreement between Oklahoma and Gansu Province with a New Year's Eve performance with the Lanzhou Symphony Orchestra. The Governor of the entire province announced his attendance the day of the concert along with five deputy Governors. "I was able to officially greet them from the stage as Oklahoma's Musical Ambassador," Kyle said.
